Baodin sprite, and other progress

I finally have one sprite presentable for the project.  This is for one of the main characters, Baodin, a guard that lost his home, family and the illusion of safety.  He searches for his wife and sons, grabbing anything to empower him to do so along the way.




It needs some tweaks here and there for the walking, shading, color consistency, but... for now, I'm moving on to the title menu of the game, and the entire sequence for that, though the minimal placeholder Cody threw together looks good!



Cody, my co-worker from the previous company I worked for, has been making amazing progress on the programming side of the project.  We have a TMX tilemap engine up and running, music playing, and text from signs popping up.  An encounter minimap with basic encounter dot AI movement, and placeholders for a lot of functionality.  Here's some shots below with temporary tiles and art, Baodin aside:



 We're getting there!  Slowly but surely.
